Dan began his career at Cannacord in 2005 and has had direct involvement in the inception and growth of our real estate investment banking franchise over the course of 12+ years. Dan leads the Canadian real estate investment banking group, with a practice focused primarily on raising equity and debt capital for public and private real estate companies, as well as real estate M&A advisory. During his career, Dan has been involved on over 100 corporate finance transactions on a lead-managed basis, raising aggregate gross proceeds of over C$5 billion for REITs and REOCs spanning all asset classes and stages of development, as well as 3 real estate M&A transactions representing aggregate enterprise value of approximately C$8 billion. Dan holds an Honours Business Administration degree from The Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
